That’s right, you will probably be the on the top of their list.



4. Try and connect with a few people everyday if you are using social networking. For example, you could send them an instant message or email with something like the following opening. I noticed your profile, while waiting for someone online and thought I would say hello. Just create a friendly short conversation and that’s it. Don’t try and have a 10 or 15 minute dialogue with someone you just said hello to. Several short 1 or 2 minute conversations over the course of week and months, could pay big dividends in the future.
