It does not matter which part of the world you live in. It seems everyone is looking for a way to make money and I find that living in Malaysia gives new meaning to the phrase make money. Malaysia like many of its Asian counterparts has its own share of beggars and fly by night characters selling counterfeit goods or smuggled cigarettes, but some have discovered novel ways in which to make money.

For example, one extreme and dangerous practice is stealing copper wire from electricity cables and a number of people have been killed whilst removing wire from electricity substations.

Part of the reason for those types of extreme cases, the average wage for workers is very low especially when companies employ Indonesian and Filipino workers, however these are the ones who generally find additional ways to make money. An example being bar staff, who will go out and buy items such as peanuts and lighters from the local market and then sell them at a profit in their workplace. It is unfortunate, because in the G8 countries, typically that is not something you would find in countries like Canada or the United States.

I have watched people break up concrete pipes in order to recover and sell the metal reinforcing. Like, I mentioned already, living in parts of the world like Malaysia is not always easy. Other local people will capture small fish from reefs to sell to make money from who have home aquariums.

Many streets and markets have people with sewing machines always ready to repair and alter clothes. Shoe repairers are always ready to put on new soles or repair sandals and sports shoes with a spot of sewing. Life can be especially hard in developing countries, but its a positive step that people are wanting to be their own boss.

Ad hoc restaurants /food stores abound with housewives setting up simple stalls outside their houses to sell home made food or products from their garden in order to make money. It may not be a 4 star restaurant, but the food can be very good.

Malaysia has a bad reputation in some counties for bribery and corruption which can even involve the police, but this still tends to be the way business is conducted as even officials are looking for additional ways to make money.

The stock market used to be a place to make money and many naive people over borrowed in the past when the market was rising and ended up in debt. Yes, there are many problems in developing countries like Malaysia, but people want financial freedom, just like people in Canada and the United States. Owning your own business, no matter where you live is something people from around the globe want to do.

How to make money from home is to simply find a need and fill it however, some people are greedy and want to make a lot of money, and I am more amazed by a person’s idea of just how much constitutes a lot of money. The answer to ‘How much is a lot” most likely depends on how much is in your pocket and how long until your next influx of cash. According to the 2007 World Bank report he average American citizen earns around $45,800 per year or a little less than $900 per week. It is a good bet that an extra 9 days pay in your pocket each month would put a smile on your face. That is like getting a 25% raise for the average American.

It amazes me that so many people are focused on the score that they actually lose sight of making money. The Gurus and the dream weavers count on just that fact. People from all across the globe are looking for ways to make money on the Internet. The problem starts when they see some flashy advertisemant that promises instant riches and a lot of people actually fall for that crap. This will save you a lot of frustration and potential money down the road.

Remember, starting a home based business to Make Money, mean you need to be focused, determined and have a sincere desire to work at it daily. There is no such thing as a magic button or get rich quick scheme. People that jump from business to business are guaranteed to fail. They will blame the Internet, the scams and the crooks everything but themselves.

To make money on the Internet one of the first things you have to do is to find an appropriate domain name.

The choice of a domain name leads us right into search engine optimization. Search engine optimization or SEO, refers to configuring your web site’s keyword phrase inclusion so the Google search results position your web site to land on page one. For you to make money on the internet, you absolutely want it to land on page one when someone searches for your product. Why? Because most people will choose a site from page one of a Google search.

The internet changes daily as far as what will work and what will not when it comes to search engine optimization.
